Cantina Colli Ripani Marche, Italy

Cantina Colli Ripani

Our company was founded in 1977 and has been growing consistently year after year. Today we count about 500 partners and process grapees originating from about 1,100 hectares of vine-growing area.
The high quality of wine-making is the first place due to the selective characteristics of the territory, particularly suitable for the vines because of the climate and geographical conformation, but also and especially the working culture of technicians who work with the most modern technologies.
Each production phase is rigourously controlled: from vine-growing, where the practice viticulture is followed passionately, to the actual wine-production.
Grape harvesting is differentiated by variety and quality: at the wine cellar processing occurs on four pressing lines.
Highly qualified wine-making techniques are used in the subsequent phases.

Mojo

Mojo
Marche region

This lovely wine comes from vineyards located 1000 feet above the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Marche. With southeastern exposure to the sun and a backdrop of the Apennine Mountains, this area has a historical predilection to red grape varietals and is rich with such native varietals as Sangiovese and Montepulciano.

Mojo is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes that are hand-picked about the 15th-20th of October and the clusters carefully sorted. Maceration takes place on the skins for 8/10 days at a controlled temperature that doesnÕt exceed 28¼C, and racking off and completion of the fermentation is done in stainless steel vats for at least 30 days.

The result is a beautiful ruby red wine with an intense and persistent aroma of mature fruit, spices, and licorice. The taste is full, robust and persistent, with perfectly balanced tannins, warm, soft and aromatic.

A fine complement to red roasted meats, game, seasoned cheeses. Serve at room temperature.
