Bodegas Vallemayor

Several generations of harvesters precede us and after a life dedicated to wines of Rioja, in 1985 Luis Perez Foncea founded the Bodegas Vallemayor. With the property of 30 hectares of tempranillo in Fuenmayor and selecting the best grapes of the zone, are elaborated an ample wine range following the traditional methods of Rioja, but with the most modern technology based on the care and the hygiene of the product. The bodegas produces young wines, reservas and gran reservas. They are aged in new barrels of French and American oak and with long periods of rest in bottle. In addition to a nourished market of individuals, we emphasize the increasing exporting vocation of this company. At the present moment our wines are present in practically all of Europe and the Americas, with serious possibilities of increase from sales and expansion to new markets. Today we produce and sell more than a million liters of wine, of which 60% is destined to young wines and 40% is for the crianzas, the reservas and the gran reservas. Knowledge, experience, dedication and patience have given to Luis Perez Foncea the success in their work. The recognition of its neighbors, the word of mouth and the constant personal attention, even workingÊ Saturdays and Sundays, have generated a direct market of sale in the bodega and shipment to individuals, which causes that Luis feels the pride to satisfy others with well made wines.

Vallemayor Riojas

Tinto
This Lovely wine is made from 100% Tempranillo. It has a beautiful cherry red color with aromas of black and red fruits with hints of anise. It is smooth and silky to the palate with a lingering finish. Compliments red meats, stew and cheeses. Serve at room temperature.

Crianza
This beautiful wine is made from 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano and aged for 12 months in new oak. It is ruby red in color with a good balance of fruit and oak and a hint of caramel and toasted bread and a long finish. Great with meat, game, pasta dishes and cheeses. Serve at room temperature.

Reserva
This beautiful Reserva is made from 90% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano and 5% Garnacha. It is aged for 14 months in new oak barrels and then 24 months in the bottle. It has a deep cherry color with aromas of fruit and oak. It is well balanced, soft and round, with a generous and persistent finish. Excellent with roasted meats, game and cheese dishes. Serve at room temperature.
