Wine Shop:  Italian Olive Oil

[olive oil]
Villa Augusta

Villa Augusta Extra Virgin Olive Oil 750 milliliters
The Abruzzi is dominated by the Apennines which reach their highest peaks in the Gran Sasso Italia group. The entire region is 65 percent mountains and 35 percent hills which are comfortably above sea level. Conditions vary from cool and damp in the lofty interior which feels the Mediterranean influences from both sides, to steadily warmer and drier towards the Adriatic coast.

It is in these hills that the DeVito family have been tending their olive groves for over four generations. These aged majestic trees have been meticulously cared for in a completely natural organic manner - without the use of any herbicides or pesticides. In keeping with the respect for this marvelous fruit, the harvest is done completely by hand in order not to bruise the olives. The careful attention to detail in the growing, picking and pressing of the olives, is very evident in the finished product of the Villa Augusta Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

This is a magnificent oil to enjoy on any type of salad or pasta or for the simple pleasure of dipping bread.
